Refund & Returns Policy

Welcome to Detroit Furn. We are committed to providing high-quality furniture and a reliable shopping experience. Please read our Refund & Returns Policy carefully before placing your order.


Returns Eligibility

We accept return requests for eligible products within 7 days of delivery under the following conditions:

  • The item is damaged, defective, or incorrect
  • The product is unused and in its original condition
  • The item is returned in its original packaging where possible
  • Proof of purchase or order confirmation is provided

To request a return, customers must contact our support team within 7 days of receiving the order.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items are generally non-returnable unless faulty or damaged upon delivery:

  • Custom-made furniture
  • Made-to-order products
  • Clearance or sale items
  • Products that have been assembled, altered, or used
  • Mattresses and bedding products (for hygiene reasons)

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item:

  1. Notify us within 48 hours of delivery
  2. Send clear photos of:
    • The product
    • Packaging
    • Damage or issue
  3. Include your order number in the email subject line

Once reviewed, we will arrange:

  • A replacement,
  • Repair, or
  • Refund where applicable

Refund Process

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after inspection and approval.

Please note:

  • Shipping or delivery fees may be non-refundable unless the error was caused by Detroit Furn
  • Bank processing times may vary depending on your financial institution

Order Cancellations

Orders may only be cancelled before production or dispatch begins.

For custom or made-to-order items:

  • A cancellation fee may apply if production has already started

Cash on Delivery Orders

For Cash on Delivery purchases:

  • A 60% deposit is required to confirm production or processing
  • Deposits for custom-made items may be non-refundable once manufacturing has started

Exchanges

We may offer exchanges for eligible items depending on stock availability.

Exchange requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.


Delivery Inspection

Customers are encouraged to inspect products upon delivery before signing acceptance documents. Any visible issues should be reported immediately.
