Refund & Returns Policy
Welcome to Detroit Furn. We are committed to providing high-quality furniture and a reliable shopping experience. Please read our Refund & Returns Policy carefully before placing your order.
Returns Eligibility
We accept return requests for eligible products within 7 days of delivery under the following conditions:
- The item is damaged, defective, or incorrect
- The product is unused and in its original condition
- The item is returned in its original packaging where possible
- Proof of purchase or order confirmation is provided
To request a return, customers must contact our support team within 7 days of receiving the order.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are generally non-returnable unless faulty or damaged upon delivery:
- Custom-made furniture
- Made-to-order products
- Clearance or sale items
- Products that have been assembled, altered, or used
- Mattresses and bedding products (for hygiene reasons)
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item:
- Notify us within 48 hours of delivery
- Send clear photos of:
- The product
- Packaging
- Damage or issue
- Include your order number in the email subject line
Once reviewed, we will arrange:
- A replacement,
- Repair, or
- Refund where applicable
Refund Process
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after inspection and approval.
Please note:
- Shipping or delivery fees may be non-refundable unless the error was caused by Detroit Furn
- Bank processing times may vary depending on your financial institution
Order Cancellations
Orders may only be cancelled before production or dispatch begins.
For custom or made-to-order items:
- A cancellation fee may apply if production has already started
Cash on Delivery Orders
For Cash on Delivery purchases:
- A 60% deposit is required to confirm production or processing
- Deposits for custom-made items may be non-refundable once manufacturing has started
Exchanges
We may offer exchanges for eligible items depending on stock availability.
Exchange requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
Delivery Inspection
Customers are encouraged to inspect products upon delivery before signing acceptance documents. Any visible issues should be reported immediately.
